Nominating for the Georgie Waterman Awards
To nominate someone for either a Georgie Waterman Award or an Interpreters’ Encouragement Award please write a nomination that shows how the person demonstrates qualities and aspects of interpretation practice such as:
- inspiration,
- creativity and innovation,
- commitment to quality in interpretation, including effective communication,
- understanding of audience and content, and
- sharing with and/or development of others within the profession of interpretation.
You will also need to include the names and contact details of at least three professional referees.

There is less emphasis on leadership and development of interpreters for the Interpreters’ Encouragement Award.
