Walk the Overland Track

Join local interpreter, Peter Grant, author of the Overland Track Interpretation Plan, on this superb six day, 65km walk. You will journey through the heart of Tasmania's Wilderness World Heritage Area, carrying all your own gear, including tent, food and cooking equipment.
You will average between 8 and 17km of walking per day, more if you take side trips. Weather can range from warm and sunny to cold, wet, windy and even snowy. Good equipment is essential (some may be hired). Moderate to good fitness is required.
Peter Grant is Manager Interpretation and Education, Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service, a past Interpretation Australia President and a keen bushwalker.
Dates: Monday November 15 to Saturday November 20.
Cost: The walk cost is $220 per person.
This covers:
- Return bus transport (Launceston-Overland Track-Launceston)
- Overland Track Information Pack (Cradle Mt-Lk St Clair National Park Map & Notes; “One Walk, Many Journeys” booklet; Overland Track book by John Chapman; factsheets and more)
- A national park pass
- A waterproof packliner
It does NOT cover food and equipment. These are each walker’s responsibility.
